Strategic Air & Space Museum Air Show

The Strategic Air & Space Museum has invited you for the weekend of March 26 and 27th, Saturday, Sunday to participate in a R/C display and club introduction event. If the weather permits you can fly outside and inside. For sure we will be flying inside. There will be places for slow flying indoor aircraft, helicopters, and 3D type aircraft.  So charge up your batteries and bring a charger so you can get a day or two of flying. Let Steve Peck know you will be flying so he can make up an agenda for the three areas. The important part is that you will be able to present your Club to the people. Bring old Flying Magazines to give away, pictures of club activities, an explanation of where the club flies and membership papers to sign up new members. A table will be provided for you so bring a table cloth and the things you will display and give away. It is a great opportunity to increase club membership and show people what we do.   The tables need someone there between the open hours of 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. What a good time to look around the museum which is a very positive part of our community. This event will invite all phases of civilian flight. Everyone there will love aviation. It will be a fantastic atmosphere.

I publish Metro Area R/C Flying to make a central web site for all the area R/C clubs, not to replace individual club sites, but to tie all of them together and promote growth and interaction between clubs. The most important service of the web site is to post the Metro Area Schedule. The schedule lists all the events for all the clubs in one location so that R/C flyers can see what events are available in the area and plan ahead. I believe it will also help the area clubs to work out their schedules so that a club event, will not conflict, with another club's event. The next most important service is to provide a Page that has maps to all the events, meetings, dinners and parties. Right after that comes the Newsletter Page which lists club newsletters. Reading other club newsletters lets members see what others are offering in the area that they are interested in and promotes interaction between clubs.  This is your web site, if you would like to show-off your newest plane, or share an experience, you can E-Mail pictures and articles to me at: MetroRCFlying@Gmail.com  There’s an Email Link on every page.
