Omahawk's Training E-Mail

Hello Omahawk's and Friends.....

With the First Day of Spring here, we are just a short two weeks away from the beginning of the 2015 Flight Training Season, which begins on Thursday, April 2nd starting at 6:00pm.

As many of you know, with the break-in of the shed over the last holiday season, a majority of the Flight Training stuff managed to "disappear" and now we are left wondering what is available to use for the upcoming season. Also, we know that a lot of the member's have some of the club's training equipment at their homes as well, so in order to get an idea of what we have versus what we need to get to make this a successful training season, Harry and I are asking that anyone who has any of the club's training equipment bring them out on Thursday, April 2nd at 6pm so that we can take inventory of what is available, what is flight-worthy, and then determine what we need to pick up.

If you have any equipment such as wheels, radios, batteries, engines, ect from any of the previous club trainer's or from past flight training, please bring them out at this time as well.

Also, with the new training season approaching, we are also looking for volunteer's who will be available to assist with flight training, ground school, plane checks / prep, ect. and ask that you attend as well so that we can put your name on the list of available instructors. This will help us to know who is available and willing to assist with this new year.

So, if you have an interest in helping new students enjoy the thrill of model aviation as much as you do, then we look forward to seeing you at the field for the new Flight Training season starting April 2nd at 6:00pm.

Questions? Comments? Please let Harry Perkons / Mikey Furrow know and we will address them as we can.

       Thanks again,

       Harry and Mikey

I publish Metro Area R/C Flying to make a central web site for all the area R/C clubs, not to replace individual club sites, but to tie all of them together and promote growth and interaction between clubs. The most important service of the web site is to post the Metro Area Schedule. The schedule lists all the events for all the clubs in one location so that R/C flyers can see what events are available in the area and plan ahead. I believe it will also help the area clubs to work out their schedules so that a club event, will not conflict, with another club's event. The next most important service is to provide a Page that has maps to all the events, meetings, dinners and parties. Right after that comes the Newsletter Page which lists club newsletters. Reading other club newsletters lets members see what others are offering in the area that they are interested in and promotes interaction between clubs.  This is your web site, if you would like to show-off your newest plane, or share an experience, you can E-Mail pictures and articles to me at: MetroRCFlying@Gmail.com  There’s an Email Link on every page.
