First of all, please don't take this
personally, it is only meant as a joke!
As I heard the
story Bob made this great little paper pilot for his plane and one of
his friends said; "That's a nifty little pilot I can't imagine what you
could do to top it, unless you could make him flip you off". So
Bob went home and made an arm and hand and hooked it to the rudder servo
so that when the rudder turns the hand swings up.
It just goes to
show you that us indoor flyers need something better to do to keep
ourselves amused. I thought it was pretty funny just watch out for
the left turns.
By the way Bob
does a great job building indoor and outdoor scale models, many of
them complete with rivets and other great detail. He also builds a
lot of different planes. I like the fact that several of the
planes he has built are replicas the full scale light planes we used to
fly. That's a great nostalgia factor.
Come on down and join
the fun and camaraderie. Remember the indoor flyers, fly all
winter, plus on rainy, windy and cold snowy days. It really helps
keep you in practice, I know my flying has improved since I started
indoor flying. Another benefit of flying more often is that you
are less nervous when flying outdoors. If your hands shake when
you fly, the only cure is to fly more often and more regularly. |
