AMA President & Vice President in Omaha

       Hello everyone:

I'm sending this email to ask if an announcement can be added to the Metro Area RC Flying web page and the Omahawks home page.  If possible I would like to announce that Dave Mathewson, AMA President, and Mark Smith, AMA Executive Vice President, and Jim Wallen, District IX Vice President are all coming to Omaha this Saturday.  The details are in the email below.

I have asked the other club presidents to post this on their respective web sites and send an email to all members in the hopes we have a good turn out.  If any of you have access to a list of members, I would ask that you please send an email to whoever you can, announcing this meet and greet.

Your assistance is much appreciated.  I hope to see all of your Saturday.

       Best regards,

       Steve

       Good evening.

I now have some accurate information to share with all of you about Dave Mathewson, AMA President, and Mark Smith, AMA Executive Vice President, coming to Omaha.  Jim Wallen, District IX Vice President, will also be coming to town this Saturday, July 17.

What a great opportunity to meet with AMA leadership!  The current plan is to meet at the Hy-Vee on 108th & Fort Streets to have some lunch.  Everyone is welcome to meet for a bite to eat and say hi.  At 2:00 p.m. everyone will head over to Hawk Field (in Standing Bear Lake Park north of 138th and Fort Streets).  Please come out to the field for a meet and greet and welcome everyone to Omaha.

Club presidents:  Please send an email to your club membership and/or post this on your websites so we can get the widest dissemination to our local R/C pilots.  THANK YOU!!!!

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at Hy-Vee and/or Hawk Field this Saturday.

       Best regards,

Subject: Coming to Omaha for dinner meeting with Insurance agent

Hi Steve!  Dave Mathewson and I along with our wives will be arriving in Omaha on Saturday afternoon, 7/17 for a retirement dinner for our insurance broker.   I wanted to check with you to see if you would be available to take us around to some of the local flying fields to meet/greet?  We are going to be staying at the Hampton Inn by the mall.

       Thanks!

       Mark

I publish Metro Area R/C Flying to make a central web site for all the area R/C clubs, not to replace individual club sites, but to tie all of them together and promote growth and interaction between clubs. The most important service of the web site is to post the Metro Area Schedule. The schedule lists all the events for all the clubs in one location so that R/C flyers can see what events are available in the area and plan ahead. I believe it will also help the area clubs to work out their schedules so that a club event, will not conflict, with another club's event. The next most important service is to provide a Page that has maps to all the events, meetings, dinners and parties. Right after that comes the Newsletter Page which lists club newsletters. Reading other club newsletters lets members see what others are offering in the area that they are interested in and promotes interaction between clubs.  This is your web site, if you would like to show-off your newest plane, or share an experience, you can E-Mail pictures and articles to me at: MetroRCFlying@Gmail.com  There’s an Email Link on every page.
