The LINOMA Four will be sponsored by SWIFT, Sunday, October 8. Pilots meeting at 10:00 am. Thermal Duration and E-Glider events. Task TBD.

Dan Cramer has accepted the duties of the SWIFT E-Glider coordinator. Dan and George organizer the E-Glider KISS event at the Fall Closer. The event was very well accepted. Look for more E-Glider events this winter and next year.
Three SWIFT members attended the EISS sponsored event at Blakesburg, IA. Results: 2 M event, 20 entries: Larry Bailey-11, Bob Turner-15, Mike Myer-17, Terry Lamm-18. Unlimited, 23 entries: Bob Turner-17, Mike Myer-19. Terry Lamm-14, Larry Bailey-23, First launch, broke the model after a pop-off and hard landing.

OPS, I forgot the out of town guy. Steve Leitgen 2M-13th Unlimited-16th Hand Launch-6th out of 11 flyers Modified Sport Scale-2nd out of 3 entries. Steve is a long time member and supporter of SWIFT.

I publish Metro Area R/C Flying to make a central web site for all the area R/C clubs, not to replace individual club sites, but to tie all of them together and promote growth and interaction between clubs. The most important service of the web site is to post the Metro Area Schedule. The schedule lists all the events for all the clubs in one location so that R/C flyers can see what events are available in the area and plan ahead. I believe it will also help the area clubs to work out their schedules so that a club event, will not conflict, with another club's event. The next most important service is to provide a Page that has maps to all the events, meetings, dinners and parties. Right after that comes the Newsletter Page which lists club newsletters. Reading other club newsletters lets members see what others are offering in the area that they are interested in and promotes interaction between clubs.
